Explore
the Ozark’s outdoors indoors in the areas many fascinating caves. Missouri
is often called the cave state with hundreds of caves discovered throughout the
state. Several of the state’s largest and most famous caves are found
within the carst topography of the Ozark Mountains in southwest Missouri. Here
are several caves located close to Indian Point that offer regularly scheduled
guided tours:
Marvel Cave is located at Silver Dollar City and a guided tour
of the cave is included with admission to the theme park. Marvel Cave’s
main room is one of America’s three largest caverns, soaring 20 stories
underground.
Talking Rocks Cavern and Nature Center is a subterranean world
filled immense rooms and incredible formations with fascinating details. In
addition to the guided cave tour you can explore nature trails, mine for
gemstones, experience the speleobox crawl and shop for unique gifts.
Fantastic Caverns offers an underground adventure that is both
thrilling and educational. You’ll discover that although sunlight never
reaches the caverns life still exists in the cave.
Cosmic Cavern is Arkansas’ most beautifully decorated show
cave featuring magnificent formations and bottomless lakes. |
